Saving Sell-Side Research

Equity research revenues are expected to fall by up to 50 percent in the next few years, but Booz Allen Hamilton believes that that sell-side firms will continue to be the dominate providers of research to the buy side–despite increased competition from independents and from the buy-side’s own research staffs. Sell-side firms that adapt to the changing regulatory environment and offer new and innovative products, services, and distribution formats to buy-side customers will be the most likely o survive.
